What the site does

People can write a message addressed to a first name or nickname, choose an emotion and relationship, and decide whether the writing is submitted for public review or kept private where the feature allows it.

Public messages are not sent to the person named. A first name is treated as a label for the writing, not as proof of identity.

Public messages are reviewed

Public submissions enter a moderation queue before they can appear on the site. The review process is designed to reduce personal information, explicit material, threats, harassment, targeted abuse, spam and other unsafe content.

Privacy by design

The site asks writers to avoid identifying details. Recovery codes are used for message management so a public account is not required for every message. Private writing is not placed in the public moderation feed.

What this site is not

This is not a messaging service for contacting another person, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal or emergency support.
